Spurs have offered a payment option that Sporting Lisbon finds convincing. The Spaniard will fly to London for a medical on Monday evening local time. All has been scheduled so that the deal can be completed before the approaching transfer deadline.
To convince Sporting to let go, Tottenham decided to put 15% of the transfer commission in the contract of Marcus Edwards. The youngster moved from Tottenham to Vitoria de Guimaraes in 2019 before joining Sporting last year. Under the contract, Sporting must pay 15% of the transfer fee to Spurs, but the Portuguese team has successfully negotiated not to pay this fee.
Conte's 3-4-2-1 formation requires a lot from the two full-back positions. Ivan Perisic has strengthened the left wing and now Pedro Porro is an upgrade to the right. This is one of the most talented young players in Europe in his position. He has contributed 9 goals and 13 assists in 67 appearances for Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese league since joining from Girona in 2019.
