Crystal Palace striker strangled Fred but was not red carded

In a clash between MU and Crystal Palace players, striker Jordan Ayew also strangled Fred but did not receive any punishment.

Striker Jordan Ayew escaped an unbelievable red card

In the 67th minute, MU and Crystal Palace players clashed after Antony was fouled by Jeffrey Schlupp. In a moment of loss of composure, Casemiro strangled Will Hughes.

After checking VAR, the referee immediately drew a red card to disqualify Casemiro. The MU players protested vehemently, but the referee did not change the decision.

It is worth mentioning that in the scuffle situation, striker Jordan Ayew also strangled Fred exactly like what Casemiro did with Will Huges. However, the number 9 on the side of Crystal Palace did not even have to receive any penalty.

Jordan Ayew strangled Fred but did not receive any punishment.

This makes MU members angry. After the match, coach Erik Ten Hag harshly expressed his opinion:

"In that situation, Casemiro was out on the touchline. Everyone could see that. The referees were inconsistent in their decisions. In today's situation, there were many Crystal Palace players. inappropriate behavior. But VAR did not intervene to give the punishment it deserved."

Having to play without people after Casemiro's red card, MU lost the game, let Crystal Palace pressed and got an equalizer. It took a lot of work for the Red Devils to secure a 2-1 victory.
