Declan Rice warns opponents about England
England are making impressive progress in Qatar. A 3-0 victory over Senegal saw England win a ticket to the quarter-finals of the World Cup against defending champions France.
He has won 3 of the 4 matches played, becoming the team with the most goals in the tournament. Pre-tournament doubts were silenced by England in a dramatic way.

Midfielder Declan Rice said: "I don't think we've been given the credit we deserve for our performances. If you look at other teams, like the Netherlands and Argentina, they win their games very comfortably and are called 'super class'. As for us, they always pick up the gravel. Negative things are always discovered. If you look at the last matches, it's perfect. I think countries should start to fear us because we are a great team."
Rice also assessed England's impressive ability in both attack and defense: "Going into the tournament, there were many sayings that we didn't score enough goals. It's one of the things that we keep people quiet. There's been a lot of scrutiny around defense and conceding, but it's solid. We will continue to try harder from this foundation.”
He reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the 10th time and for the second time in a row under Gareth Southgate. But the challenge with France ahead is very ominous and England need to overcome the limit to be able to win tickets against such an unpleasant opponent.
